Welcome to Global Connect on Leader in Me Online. This feature will empower you to connect with classrooms across the globe.
This user guide includes information designed to assist teachers and principals with:
- Navigating Global Connect
- Creating a Connection
- Understanding the Message Center
To reach Global Connect, head to the top navigation under the My Classroom tab. Here you will find links to "Community Post," "and "Community Stories."
Please note that "Events" have also moved under this drop-down but can still be accessed regardless of Global Connect use.
First, to access Global Connect, you must agree to and accept the community guidelines.
If you click "No Thanks" you will be taken back to the Leader in Me Online Homepage.
When you land on the Global Connect homepage, you will see the screen below.
Please find details for each section below.
On the Global Connect Homepage, you will see the following features:
- Navigation: This section will allow you to navigate between Posts, the Message Center, Stories, and Events.
- Filter: Here you can filter connection posts based on subject matter.
- Events: While there is still a separate Events page, you can also preview upcoming events on your Global Connect Dashboard. Click the “See All” button to see all upcoming events.
- Global Connections: This section will house Connection Posts. Here you will see how other schools from around the globe would like to connect. You can browse posts or connect with someone by clicking on the “Message” button within that specific post.
- Add Post: The "Add Post" button will allow you to create your own Connection Posts.
- Community Stories: Check out the Community Stories to see how other schools are making connections across the globe. You can also submit your own Community Stories about your class’s experience by clicking on the Community Stories page and scrolling to the bottom.
