Students can be added to the LeaderU Platform in a few different ways, depending on the purchase method:
- Institutional Purchase: A set number of student seats is purchased by the college/university
- Student Purchase: Students are required to purchase a 12-month subscription from either the LeaderU Store or from their college/university bookstore.
- Full Site License: The college/university is covering the cost of each student for the entire college/university

The recommended method in LeaderU is to always create a Section before adding any students. Once you create a section you can easily invite students to the platform via a Section Access Code. Students who are required to purchase a subscription can then either redeem a bookstore access code or purchase from our LeaderU Store.
Note: If your campus utilizes Canvas LMS, please reference our Canvas LMS LTI Setup Documentation. The Canvas LTI will automatically generate sections for you and auto-provision students.
The information below should be used for universities on the Institutional Purchase model or Full-Site License.

Individually Create Students
Step 1: Navigate to the Student users page
- Select Students from the My Institution menu in the top navigation
Step 2: Click on the green +New Student button
Step 3: Fill out the form

- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Password (this will be a temporary password and the student will be prompted to create a new password when first logging in)
