First 8 Days is a series of Leader in Me lesson plans for teachers to use during the first eight days of the school year. Lesson plans are available for Levels K–8. Preview a lesson to see what's inside, or start a class when you're ready to teach.
Find First 8 Days
1. In the top navigation, click the My Classroom dropdown, and select Curriculum.
2. Select a level from K–8. First 8 Days appears on the left.
3. Open First 8 Days for your level. From the Course Overview page, you can preview the lesson or start it.
Preview a Lesson
On the Course Overview page, click Preview. The preview screen includes:
1. Course overview: The course overview and its lessons.
2. Course list: A list of all the courses.
3. Module Overview: How to get started, with links to any additional resources you may need.
4. Print: Click the printer icon to print the lesson.
5. Preview banner: A banner at the top reads "Preview Mode — progress won't be saved."
Preview mode: Your progress isn't saved in preview mode. If you open the slides in preview mode, you'll be asked whether you want to start a class when you reach the final slide.
Start the Lesson
1. On the Course Overview page, click New Class.
2. In the box that opens, enter a name for your class.
