With this update, we are expanding notifications to cover all features across the platform.
Currently, the top navigation includes two separate icons: an envelope (✉️) for Global Connect messaging and a bell (🔔) for notifications. Our goal is to consolidate the top navigation into a single, unified notification center for easier access and consistency.
Clicking "See All" on the notification message will open up the Notification Center.
Users will have access to a notification settings panel that allows them to personalize their communication preferences. This panel would enable users to choose their preferred delivery method, such as in-app alerts, email notifications (digest summaries), or both, based on what best fits their workflow.
Users can toggle notifications on or off by feature, giving them control over which updates they receive (e.g., action plan tasks, professional learning course reminders, global connect discussion replies, announcements, and more).
Users will also be able to choose if they want to receive a Weekly Digest Summary of unread notifications. These settings will ensure that users can balance staying informed without feeling overwhelmed.
