A plain-language walkthrough of what changed in the MRA dashboard for 2026 — what moved, what's new, and why it helps schools and districts get clearer, more accurate results.

School Dashboard

Side-by-side: what moved, what’s new

The overall layout of the School Dashboard got a refresh. A few controls changed location, and three new pieces of information were added.

What moved

  • —Switch MRA moved to the top-left corner
  • —Resources now combines the old Scoring Guide and Resources links
  • —Download now combines Download Data and Download Report

What’s new

  • —The dashboard now lists which survey type was chosen at set-up
  • —You can choose which data to compare against
  • —A longitudinal chart of Measure scores is now available

Detailed Change Guide

Comparing MRA scores

Two dropdowns give users more control over which results they’re looking at and what they’re comparing them to.

Switch MRA

  • —Selects which MRA’s scores you want to view
  • —Moved location on the page
  • —Each MRA now shows a version number

Change Comparison

  • —Selects which previous MRA the current one is compared against
  • —Only MRAs with the same version number can be chosen for comparison, so the scores line up correctly

New Feature

Longitudinal measure charts

Clicking the small chart icon on a Leadership, Culture, or Academics card now opens a trend line for that Measure.

What it shows

  • —Changes in a Measure’s score across years, at the Measure level
  • —Includes scores from every previous validated MRA (version 2) the school has completed, in chronological order

Survey Status

Tracking an MRA in progress

Before enough surveys are in, the dashboard now shows an “In Progress” status with clear minimums, instead of leaving results blank without explanation.

Minimum responses needed

  • —At least 10 student responses
  • —At least 5 staff responses
  • —At least 10 family responses

Results stay unavailable until at least one survey type reaches its minimum.

MRA PDF Report

Reorganized measures, plus a new category

The measures shown in the PDF report were reorganized for clarity, an outdated name was corrected, and a category was added that the old report was missing entirely.

What changed

  • —An outdated measure name was corrected
  • —Measures were regrouped under Leadership, Culture, and Academics more consistently
  • —A new Life-Readiness category was added — covering Group Collaboration and Future-Focus — which the pre-update report was missing

School Data Spreadsheet

From raw rows to visual charts

The school data spreadsheet used to be a long list of individual responses. Now it rolls those responses up into color-coded charts you can read at a glance.

What changed

  • —Raw response rows are now summarized as a percentage of each response category (e.g., “Almost every day,” “About half the days”)
  • —Each question gets a horizontal stacked bar, color-coded from red (least favorable) to green (most favorable)
  • —A shared legend makes every chart on the sheet easy to read the same way

District Dashboard

District roll-up report: date ranges & email delivery

The single Download button on the District Dashboard is now a report builder, letting district staff choose exactly which MRAs to include.

Minor change

  • —The Download button is now a dropdown with date-range options

Major benefits

  • ✓Increased access to data — pick any Starts At / Ends At range and email the report directly
  • ✓Improved accuracy of averages, since the report can now account for schools completing their MRA at different times

Roll-Up Report Detail

New rows and columns in the roll-up file

Beyond the date-range and email options, the roll-up spreadsheet itself now carries more context about each school’s MRA — and breaks district averages down further.

  • —Date the MRA was completed
  • —MRA version chosen (Elementary, Secondary, Both, etc.)
  • —Number of responses received — for the district row, this is now a total, not an average of averages

New columns — district averages by survey type

  • —District averages are now broken down by All / Elementary / Secondary / Both
  • —District name and the report’s time range are labeled at the top of the sheet
