Version 2 will be available in early 2027, but transitioning is optional. Your school may choose to remain on Version 1.5 if:
- you are mid-course
- have purchased printed Version 1 materials
- simply prefer to transition at your own pace
Consider moving to Version 2 immediately if:
- you are new to the product
- primarily use digital resources
- would benefit from the new enhancements and increased flexibility
- When starting a new academic year
What's Coming?
| Enhancement | Summary |
|---|---|
| Flexible Credentialing | Each credential will stand on its own, making it easier for schools to recognize and celebrate student growth throughout the learning journey. We're also simplifying our language by moving from micro-credential to credential and shifting away from a single culminating certificate. This approach highlights the value of each achievement while allowing us to expand credential offerings over time as new learning opportunities emerge. |
| Leadership Experiences | We will reframe the culminating work in each module as a Leadership Experience to better emphasize authentic application rather than a traditional school project. While schools may still choose to require presentations, products, or portfolios, the primary focus shifts toward real-world practice, meaningful action, reflection, and simplified evidence sharing. |
| Expanded Learning Options | Schools will have greater flexibility in how students engage with the curriculum. |
In the Collaborative Learning Option (existing), students can continue to learn together through facilitated experiences led by a teacher, advisor, or other adult leader. Schools can choose to support learning with paper materials, digital tools, or a blended approach, while facilitators guide discussion, reflection, and real-world application.
In the Independent On-Demand Option (new), students progress through learning at their own pace using digital resources as the primary learning experience. While the instruction is self-directed, students continue to apply what they learn through authentic leadership experiences, reflection, and evidence of growth. |
| Reduced Lesson Count in Performance-Based Modules | The total number of essential lessons in each module will be reduced from 16 to 14, streamlining instructional time while preserving the most impactful learning experiences. Performance-based rubrics will also be refined to evaluate three competencies instead of four, creating a simpler, more efficient evaluation process for both educators and students. |
