Discovering The 7 Habits is the only certification module that ends with a credentialing exam instead of a project. The exam makes sure students are up to speed on the 7 Habits before moving on, especially if they’re less familiar with the content. This article shows how to open the exam window for students and monitor results from the Progress and Evaluation screen.
Step 1: Open Progress and Evaluation
From your student class, go to the Coursework tab and select the final lesson in the lesson list (e.g., Lesson 13: Credentialing Exam). This opens the Progress and Evaluation screen, where you evaluate leadership experiences, manage evaluators, and review student progress.
Step 2: Start the Assessment
Click Start Assessment to open the exam window for the class. You’ll be asked to confirm:
“This will give students a fresh start window. Students who are already taking the exam won’t be interrupted. Continue?”
Note: After the exam window has been opened once, this button reads Reopen Assessment instead. For details, see “Managing Interruptions During an Exam.”
Once you open the window, students see an Assessment Available screen with a Start Assessment button. They must accept a short terms-and-expectations agreement before the exam begins. For the full student walkthrough, see “Discovering the 7 Habits for Students.”
Step 3: Monitor the Assessment Results Table
The Assessment Results table updates every 10 seconds, giving you a live view of every student assigned to the exam.
| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Assessment Status | Not Started, In Progress, Complete, or Fail (with score) |
| Attempts | Number of attempts the student has used |
| Time Remaining | Countdown once the student begins. If the student hasn’t started yet, it shows the time until the window opens. |
| Questions Answered | Live progress through the exam (e.g., 12/62) |
| Actions | Per-student menu: Extend Time or Revoke Access |
To extend a student’s time or revoke their access, click the ··· menu next to their name.
Step 4: Close the Exam When You’re Done
When testing is finished, click Close Assessment (next to Extend Time) to close the start window so no new students can begin. Students already taking the exam are not interrupted.
