The Leader in Me curriculum has been enhanced with a more intuitive design, clearer progress tracking, improved data visibility, and a new admin dashboard for monitoring learner progress.
Refreshed Design Across Curriculum Tabs
Each curriculum tab has a new look and feel:
- Overview tab: Now includes an Active Classes section, with Resources located at the bottom of the page.
- Course cards: Redesigned across every tab for a cleaner, more consistent view — similar to what you may have seen in Professional Learning.
- Resources: Now housed directly inside each course, helping prepare the platform for future updates.

Navigation Changes
First 8 Days is no longer a separate item in the top navigation. It's now integrated directly into the K–5 and 6–8 tabs:
- Left side: First 8 Days courses
- Right side: Weekly lesson plans
This layout applies to both the K–5 and 6–8 tabs.

New: Course Overview Page
Opening a course now brings up a brand-new Course Overview page. After clicking a course tile, you'll see:
- The module list on the left-hand side
- A video or static image introducing the course
- A course description
- Course resources

This gives users a chance to get familiar with the course before diving in.
Clearer Preview vs. New Class Options
The Preview and New Class buttons are now easier to understand:
- Preview: A clear message lets users know their progress won't be saved. A yellow banner appears at the top of the screen as a reminder while they review the content.
- Lesson experience: Whether previewing or in an active class, the lesson slides work the same — the content itself hasn't changed.
- Starting a class from preview: If a user is in preview mode and reaches the final slide, they'll have the option to start a class, which creates a new class and saves their progress going forward.

Tracking Classes in Progress
Once classes are underway, the Overview tab reflects that progress:
- Active classes (e.g., Level 1) show your current progress, and you can jump right back in where you left off.
- Show/Hide icons let you manage what's displayed.
- The same in-progress classes also appear on their respective leveled tabs.

New: Curriculum Admin Dashboard
Access the Curriculum Admin Dashboard by clicking the Admin Dashboard icon, available on any of the three main tabs.

This dashboard shows:
- Which users have started the curriculum (digital curriculum or First 8 Days courses)
- Where each user currently stands in their progress
Select a level to see which staff members have started that course and how far along they are.

This visibility was previously a "black box" — now, site administrators at each school and district can clearly track who has started the curriculum and how far they've progressed.
